This 1970s house was extended with a light, bright and airy extension to the side of the house to provide a new kitchen/ dining/ family room opening directly to a south facing back garden through sliding folding doors. The extension also provided a welcoming new hall, guest room, shower room and utility. As well as bringing light and space into the house, the extension had the effect of connecting the house and the garden and allowing for easy access in both directions.
