A new development of 5 detached houses in the seaside village of Portmarnock, Co Dublin, designed by O’Dwyer & Associates, Architects. The houses are all four-bedroom and fit beautifully into the established streetscape. The fourth photograph shows the extent to which the spacious kitchen is flooded with light from the long rooflight on the single-storey element of each house.
As construction projects are on the increase throughout Ireland, skilled engineers, architects and surveyors are in short supply. So many professionals left the industry (and indeed the country) during the recession and very few school leavers opted to follow construction-related courses in third level that the industry is already looking to the UK and further afield to fill skills gaps.
We launched our new website on 12 January 2015. We hope you like the new design and find it easy to use. We will be updating this new site much more regularly from now on and we hope to include items of general interest as well as practice and project news.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Nuala Burke or Paul O’Dwyer. We look forward to hearing from you.
